This massive 5 Oz coin, struck of pure 999 fine silver in a 65mm diameter format, commemorates the 50th anniversary of one of humankind greatest milestone: The Moon landing. A scene of man first steps on the moon is represented engraved in high relief over a red coloured mother of pearl inlay. On the top and along the rim the inscription “50 YEARS OF MOON LANDING”, over the inlays “APOLLO XI” and on the bottom the face value “25 DOLLARS” are displayed. The obverse carries the Ian Rank Broadley effigy of her majesty Queen Elizabeth II, with the inscription of the issuing country “SOLOMON ISLANDS”, the name of the ruler “ELIZABETH II” and the year of issue “2019”, together with the weight of the coin “5OZ” and the metal and its pureness of it was struck off “AG 999”
